Wine Review - 2012 Blue Fish Pinot Grigio: PG In The German Style
Courtesy palmbay.com So. it's Saturday night and Morgan has done his eating for this evening and we figured it would be a good opportunity to do a quick wine tasting with our dinner. We started with a good ol' New Orleans Boiled Shrimp and finished with Scallops poached in the Shrimp Boil liquid and Squash Risotto. Since we were having something a little spicy we figured something with a bit of residual sugar might work and we were right. We were provided this wine earlier in the Summer and had wanted to try it when the weather was warmer but it was a nice day so all good. This is a German Pinot Grigio and we were fairly certain that it would be on the off-dry end of the spectrum and that was perfect with dinner. In the glass the wine looks quite clear and it portrays itself as being a crisp looking wine and overall that kind of holds up. There are bubbles in the glass as well.
